Do I believe it?

My life is just a hot mess
and no matter how hard I try I can never quite clean it.
And when I say that Christ saves, I mean it,
but sometimes I don’t live like I believe it.
And the crazy thing is….. I’ve seen it.
Yeah I’ve tasted and heard
but that doesn’t keep me from thinking I don’t need it.
He bled and he died up on that tree and for what?
For me!? So I can watch those bodies on that screen?
and try to get people think highly of me?
Man, sometimes I wish I’d been the one who had to bleed.
But then I remember that it pleased the Lord to break his own heart.
I remember that it’s him that tears me apart,
and he does it so he can put me back together
and make me something beautiful
No I don’t feel beautiful,
not when I look at myself.
But I’m learning to look somewhere else.
Yeah I’m done lookin at me,
there are so much greater things to see
I’m learnin and I’m tryin to keep God in my sight
Even that I can’t do, no, not on my own.
But with his might I might.
And in his light through his sight
I can see that he’s already won this fight
And the more I run to him the further I get from my sin
and its then that I can see
that he is making me into something beautiful.
So why not come with?
Yes, you’re broken, sinful, a wretch like the rest of us.
But God decided that you are worth more than this
A lifetime of pain is nothing compared to what there is to gain.
And I can promise you that nothing will ever be the same.
So Please, come and be what you were always supposed to be but could never be.
He will never forsake you and he will never leave.
He knows you and loves you and wants you to reciprocate.
So please don’t wait until it’s too late.
